Interval and Ratio

Once we know the meaning of Nominal and Ordinal Measurement Scale, now we will together learn the meaning of Interval and Ratio Scale.

- Scale Interval. This scale is a combination of Nominal Scale and Ordinal Scale with additional properties to measure between the data that one with the other data. Numbers on this scale has the function as a differentiator, to sort, and to know the distance or difference between the data. But at this scale there is no absolute zero point. More easily scale quantitative numeric interval but does not have an absolute zero point as an example of data on air temperature, Year, Time. Statistics with Statistical Parametric This scale is commonly used to determine the Average, Standard Deviation, and one of the Pearson Correlation.

- Scale Ratio. This scale is a scale with the highest levels of the four existing scale. Where all the characteristics from the 3 previous Scale, there is at this scale. And there is one additional characteristic of this scale, the ratio (comparison) between the data have meaning. And the point of zero on this scale is the Absolute. More simply, a Ratio Scale is a Quantitative numeric scale that has absolute zero value. Statistics are suitable for this scale is Parametric statistics are commonly used to determine the Average Kur, Correlation Coefficient, and other calculations are demanding to know the value of Absolute Zero.

From the explanation that there is, we can conclude how important and closely related to understanding the Statistics for Data Size and Scale measurements as a basis before we learn more about statistics. (If we do not know, then we would not be dear).
