Relative Frequency

Relative frequency of each class can be obtained by dividing the class frequency by the total frequency. How the Description Mode of a table listing the relative frequency is called the relative frequency distribution. If each relative frequency is multiplied by 100%, then we will get what is called the distribution percentages.

However, in many circumstances, we will be more interested in the number of observations that fall above or below a certain value, not on the number of observations in a particular class. Where the total frequency of all values smaller than the upper limit of the class a certain lapse of a certain class called cumulative frequency.

If that is used is the relative frequency and percentage, called the relative cumulative frequency distribution and cumulative percentage distribution where the cumulative percentage distribution allows us to quickly read the percentage of observations that fall below a certain value. On the way the description of data, in addition to the frequency distribution, which also we must understand is the presentation graphics. And discussion about the presentation of charts on the next page.
